Hydrated soybean oil is a product of primary refining, obtained from soybeans through pressing or extraction. Hydration reduces the content of phosphatides and improves the oil’s clarity. Depending on the degree of refining, it is used in the food industry (for producing mayonnaise, margarine, and canned foods) as well as for technical purposes, such as biodiesel production or feed additives. Due to its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, it serves as a source of beneficial lipids.
